An institution, starting from one.

Every person who ever got anywhere was added to. Taught, fed, funded, believed in, usually by people they could never repay. Fybonaci takes that observation seriously enough to build an institution around it.

The foundation's work is putting resources where the adding compounds: education first, and the essentials that make education possible. Its manner is direct. Go in person, work with the community, count everything, publish the record.

Fybonaci takes its name, respelled as its own, from Leonardo of Pisa, the medieval mathematician known as Fibonacci. His 1202 book Liber Abaci taught European merchants a better way to count, and the sequence that carries his name describes growth where every term is the sum of what came before.

Two things about that history matter here. The sequence is older than its name: Indian scholars described it centuries before Fibonacci wrote it down. Patterns outlast the people who name them. And his real legacy was honest arithmetic: clearer books, checkable sums. For a foundation, there are worse ancestors.

The foundation's mark is the classical golden-ratio construction, drawn by hand: Fibonacci squares inside a golden rectangle, a spiral through them, a circle behind. The hand-drawn line is the point. The mathematics is perfect, the drawing is human, and the foundation lives in that gap.

Fybonaci was started by Edmond Remington, a founder and creator. It is built to be founder-founded and institutionally independent: his job is to start the sequence, and the foundation's job is to outgrow him.
